There are many types of beret-related hats in North Africa; most typically the Tunisian chechia, made in a practically identical way as the Basque beret. Closely related to the chechia again is the Moroccan fez (which has been extremely popular in the West in the early 2nd half of last century). And then there are many varieties in (Muslim) felt caps. A small variety of these traditional hats are stocked at South pacific Berets.
